14 g: What Light Means for a Long Screen Day

Weight is what you notice most after a few hours of wear. Modern is 14 g. Our Drama frame is 30 g, more than twice as heavy. If you push your glasses up your nose or feel pressure by the afternoon, a light frame like this is a good place to start.

A 14 g frame can make a long screen day more comfortable, but the lens itself does not treat eye strain. Research does not show that it does. Regular breaks help more.

The Hexagon Shape

Most frames are round, square or oval. Modern's lens has several sides with softly rounded corners. This many-sided style is often called geometric or hexagon glasses. It looks more interesting than a plain round frame without being loud.

The rim is plastic and the arms are metal, with a small metal detail near each hinge. The frame is listed as metal and TR90. TR90 is a light, flexible plastic often used for eyeglass frames.

Colours
